Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

In this chapter, we see that Jeremiah is encouraging the exiles in Babylonian. In this letter, he tells that God has instructed them to build houses and settle down, plant gardens, marry and reproduce, find wives for your sons so that they can reproduce and to seek peace and prosperity in the city, which they are captive. He also warns them do not listen to the false prophets and diviners because they are lying in the name of the Lord.

We too can rest in knowing that God already knows the plans for our life. His plans are better than anything we could ever put together. He loves us so that He wants to prosper us and not harm us. His plans will also give us a hope and a future. We never have to worry about our life unless we choose to. God delights in every detail of our life. Nothing catches Him off guard. When we start to feel overwhelmed with trying to plan our lives, we can find comfort and peace in the fact that He already knows the plans. We don’t have to cry about failed plans because He already knows the plans. We don’t have feel slighted when we are left out of plans because He already know the plans. We don’t have to try to live to other people’s plans for our lives, because He already knows the plans. Rest in His plans for this day forth and count it all joy!
