Exodus 2:23-25 (NLT)
Years passed, and the king of Egypt died. But the Israelites continued to groan under their burden of slavery. They cried out for help, and their cry rose up to God. God heard their groaning, and he remembered his covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He looked down on the people of Israel and knew it was time to act.
There will be times in your life when you feel like God is not there. The burdens that you are carrying are wearing you out physically, emotionally, financially, mentally and spiritually. You begin to wonder where is Jehovah-shammah. Where is the God of love? Where is the God of understanding and compassion? Where is the God of tender mercies? Let me reaffirm to you that He has always been right here. Listening to your every groan and watching your tears. Just like He remembered the Israelites and His covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He remembers you all that He promised you.
We have to remember that God is time and He controls time so that when we think He’s late, He’s actually on time. I know that your suffering doesn’t feel good nor look good. It may have been years but don’t give up on God. Don’t focus on how big your problems may be but focus on how BIG our God is and the BIG things that He can do for us and through us. It’s not always easy but its doable. We have to learn how to praise God in the valley, as well as, on the mountain top. He is the same God!
Father, I thank know that you see and hear me. You know the beginning of a thing and the ending of it. You are Jehovah-shammah, the God who is there and El-Roi, the God who sees. God, please prepare me for my deliverance for your love has never failed me yet. You keep every promise and you cannot lie. For that I give you praise even while I’m going through because you will never leave me nor forsake me. In Jesus name, amen!
