A Marriage Like That

Ephesians 5: 22-33, 1 Peter 3:1-7

Flip and ReneeEvery woman wants a man that  knows his role and is willing to give all that he has to fulfill it.  Not a perfect man, but a Christ like man.  A head, a leader, a lover, a nourisher, and a cherisher.  But what if he is not this type of man?  Surely, a woman should not submit to just any type of husband!

Ladies put your shouting shoes on!  Your husband has the ability to be a Christ like man.  Let’s create an awesome marriage.

Wives: Ephesians 5:22-24 & 1 Peter 3:1-7

First, be the wife that God designed you to be.  The movie WAR ROOM, takes the scriptures above and gives them life.  A good marriage is created in submission.

Your goal is not to get your husband to be who YOU want him to be, but who God created him to be.

21 Days of Trusting God and not your Feelings. (1 Peter 3:1-7)

Step 1:  Pray for your Husband.

Step 2:  Have Loving Conversations.

Step 3: Display a Spirit of Meekness.

Step 4: Respect Him

Husbands: 1 Peter 3:7 and Ephesians 5: 25-33

“Treat Her Like College” A song by Lyfe Jennings.  In college we study hard in order to graduate with a degree. We are even willing to go into debt.  We must “study our wives, Brothers!”  We are told in 1 Peter 3:7 to live with our wives according to understanding or our prayers will be hindered.   “Do you sometimes feel like God is not listening to you?”

Brothers, Jesus is asking us to view our wives like he views HIS CHURCH.  He was and still is willing to give everything, including himself for her.

Our example is found in Ephesians 5: 25-33.

21 Days of Loving Your Wife Like Christ Loved The Church. (Myself included)

Step 1: Pray for our wives.

Step 2: Be a Godly man by studying God’s word. (Daily)

Step 3: Sacrifice our wants for their needs. (Romans 12:1-2)

Step 4: Lead by example.

Step 5: Tell her, Tell her, Tell her, you love her in words and deeds.

Step 6: Keep going after the 21 Days is over.

A marriage that God designed is only achieved when we do it God’s way.

Prayer:  God we trust in you right now.  We put you at the head of our marriage.  We ask that you give us the desire to desire YOU, and the desire to love each other the way Christ loved the church.  Bless these next 21 days of our marriage. In Jesus Holy name, Amen!
